Firecracker Burger

YIELD: 4 Servings 


  • ¼ cup carrots, peeled and cut into 1/8’ thick matchsticks
  • ¼ cup red cabbage, thinly shaved
  • ¼ cup green cabbage, thinly shaved
  • 2 tsp. pickled ginger, finely diced
  • 4 tsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 4 tsp. sugar, granulated
  • 4 BIG BOX Beef Patties
  • Chinese five-spice seasoning to taste
  • 4 classic hard rolls, sliced in half across
  • 4 butter lettuce leaf, rinsed and patted dry
  • 4 Tbsp sriracha aioli


  1. Preheat grill to 350 degrees.
  2. While grill is heating, prepare the firecracker slaw in a small bowl by tossing together the carrots, red & green cabbages, pickled ginger, vinegar and sugar until well combined; place in refrigerator.
  3. Season the BIG BOX Beef Patties on both sides with Chinese five-spice seasoning.
  4. Put the patties on the grill. Once juices come to the top, it’s ready to flip.
  5. While the BIG BOX Beef Patties are grilling, lightly toast the rolls on the grill with cut sides down.
  6. Remove rolls from grill and place a bed of lettuce on the bottom half of each.
  7. Place the hot and juicy grilled BIG BOX Beef Patties on the lettuce.
  8. Top each burger with the firecracker slaw, and drizzle each with the sriracha aioli.
  9. Top with the top half of the roll and serve.
